Who We Are
Patty Ramus has over twenty years of tax and accounting experience. Patty’s passion is working with QuickBooks—she has been a Certified Pro Advisor since 1999. She is also certified in QuickBooks Online, and works to help business owners select accounting apps that increase their business efficiency. When she is not hard at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren, especially at her cabin near Lassen National Forest.
Jessica Cooper is a CPA that focuses on taxation. She was a Tax Manager at a local CPA firm before joining RCG. She works with taxpayers to make sure they receive the best tax outcome allowable by law. She loves to provide tax planning, advice, and help to her clients as they navigate through new tax laws. Jessica enjoys sending time with her husband and chasing after their two daughters.
Mel Kysh has been preparing taxes as a licensed Enrolled Agent for over forty years. For most of that period, he owned his own practice. Since semi-retiring, he has been helping Zeid Tax and RCG Accounting with their tax work. When not doing taxes, he enjoys skiing, climbing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Gezil Karkar has been a bookkeeper and tax preparer for over 35 years. For 22 of those years, she worked with Victor Zeid as a tax preparer. She is CTEC certified and bonded, and QBO certified. She also owns her own bookkeeping & tax business with several clients. When Gezil is not working, she likes to spend time with her two grown daughters and their spouses, traveling, reading, and doing cross stitch and needlepoint.
Nara Kalaw is our newest bookkeeper and tax preparer. She is CTEC certified and bonded. Before she joined the RCG team, she worked for Brad Backeberg, CPA, as a bookkeeper for five years. When Nara is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and two young children, doing outdoor activities, and exploring new places.
Della Welch is a professional bookkeeper, Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and longtime Member of American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. She had been the owner of Walnut Creek Bookkeeping for 12 years before becoming a partner in RCG Business Services. Simplifying business for her clients by allowing them to operate from any location, smart device, and at any time is her specialty. Della loves cool jazz and fast rides, from roller coasters to race cars.
Shaney Engle is our Office Administrator and Tax Processor--she brings laughter and thoughtful organization to our office. When she is not busy in the office, you'll find her either hanging out with her family or capturing portraits with her camera. She loves water sports, spending time outside, and her morning Starbucks coffee.
Additionally, Christa Prill handles much of our back-office work with our business clients as our Project Coordinator. She joined our team in 2020 and has found many projects around the office to keep her busy. Christa values her faith, her husband and three sons, her friends, and the beauty of being outside.
